Philosophy
As a Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Trauma Integration Clinician, Brooke is passionate about the work she does and is truly honoured to witness the positive shifts that occur for clients throughout the therapeutic process. She believes that every individual has the ability to heal and the capacity for growth. Brooke is down to earth and genuine in her approach, with her goal being to provide a safe and supportive space for her clients to feel heard, allowing them to explore and overcome personal challenges.
Infertility & Pregnancy Loss
Infertility can affect us at a deeply emotional level and have a significant impact on our daily life. We can experience grief at not being able to conceive the way we may have planned. The various relationships in our lives can be affected- how we connect with our partner, our family, our friends, even our co-workers. We may feel a deep lack of control, and it can at times feel extremely isolating. For more information on Infertility, check out our Blog section.
Pregnancy Loss
When you lose a baby during pregnancy, there can be a complex range of emotions associated. It can be a very overwhelming experience (for some it can be traumatic), and this experience is uniquely yours. You may find yourself feeling emotions of grief and sadness, anger, shock, guilt, or anxiety. This experience can be isolating and can feel like no one understands what you are going through. It can feel like no one wants to talk about it with you. You may feel some or all of these things. It is important to find support that you feel is a good fit for you- Counselling can help support you in your grief and through the complexities of your loss. Be mindful that it is important to feel comfortable with your therapist. We do have complimentary 15 minute consultations for you to decide if we are a good fit. If you don't feel that we are, that is more than ok- We can make some further recommendations for you.
